He was the Past Dean of Loma Linda University, where he now teaches as a Distinguished Professor in the Advanced Education Program in Implant Dentistry. He is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics & is the Past-President of the American Board of Prosthodontics, Past-President of the American College of Prosthodontists, and Past President of the Academy of Prosthodontics. He served as a Founding Member of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation for Oral Rehabilitation (FOR) and Chaired the FOR Education Council.
